The 13th Nanjing International Jazz Music and World Music Festival kicked off with a grand opening ceremony in the Concert Hall of Nanjing University of the Arts, Jiangsu province, Sep 22, 2014.
Since 2011, the International Jazz Music and World Music Festival has been part of “Shared Joy in Jiangsu”, which includes series of events held for foreigners to experience and learn about Jiangsu’s culture and history.

Dozens of foreign jazz musicians thrilled the audience with their exotic jazz styles. The opening performance was supplemented with a local band in Nanjing and four international bands, namely Nanjing’s HB. Street, Broes Deluxe from Belgium, Cholet Trio from France, The Twisters from Canada and Okan Ersan Quartet from Turkey.
There were also many jazz enthusiasts coming to the scene, such as fans of the bands, foreign students and teachers, freelancers, reporters, photographers and so on.
