
Dozens of foreign jazz musicians thrilled the audience with their exotic jazz styles. The opening performance was supplemented with two Chinese bands and two international choirs.

There are also many jazz enthusiasts coming to the scene, such as fans of the bands, foreign students and teachers, local musical bands, freelancers, reporters, photographers and so on.
The year 2013 sees the third year for Nanjing International Jazz Music and World Music Festival to be included into “Shared Joy in Jiangsu”.
According to Si Jinquan, deputy director of Publicity Department of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, “Shared Joy in Jiangsu” has become an important channel for foreigners to learn about Jiangsu, and also for Jiangsu musicians to march to the world stage.

After the opening ceremony, three bands, namely Les Busiciens from Belgium, Grant Simpson Quintet from Canada and Blue Planet Project from Germany, took interviews with Jschina.com.cn.
