Noukilla乐队是5个来自毛里求斯的朋友组成，他们在2005年来到了中国上海。不仅和来自城市不同的乐队翻唱歌曲，还同时作为参与演出的音乐家，他们经常远离家乡聚集到一起玩音乐。他们分别叫：Gymga Gilbert, Yan, Macleen, Giovani and Alain。他们录制的第一张CD是结合了雷鬼曲风的翻唱专辑。2010年，由于他们对音乐无条件的爱，使得Noukilla诞生了，带来原创歌曲和具有他们自己风格的Seggae音乐—他们的粉丝，用“阳光的，异国情调的，丰富多彩的，温暖的，开心的，有能量的，好心情的”来描绘这个乐队。Noukilla有很强的舞台表现力和天赋，能让观众脸上洋溢微笑。他们曾作为“毛里求斯音乐大使”被邀请参加上海的JZ音乐节、上海世界音乐节，并且在2010年上海世博会上也有演出。不同种族和背景的混合（非洲/印度/英国/法国）反映在他们的音乐中，歌词都具有三种语言：克里奥尔语，法语和英语。现在乐队正准备今年夏天以来的第一次正式演出。Noukilla——舞台上的一点阳光！

　　Noukilla are five friends from the Island of Mauritius, who came to Shanghai/China in 2005. While playing cover songs with different bands in the city and working as session musicians at the same time, they regularly came together to play tunes from their far away home. Under the name of Gymga – Gilbert, Yan, Macleen, Giovani and Alain – they recorded their first CD with Reggae cover songs. Their unconditional love for music led to the birth of Noukilla (meaning ‘Here we are!’) in 2010, bringing original songs and their own style of Sega/Seggae-Fusion to the fans, who find words like “sunny, exotic, colorful, warm, happy, energetic, good mood” to describe the band. Noukilla have a very strong stage presence and the gift to put smiles in people’s faces. Among other performances the “Mauritian music ambassadors” got invited to festivals like the JZ Festival in Shanghai, The Shanghai World Music Festival, and also performed during WorldExpo 2010 in Shanghai.The mixture of their different ethnicities and backgrounds (African/Indian/British/French) reflects in their music with lyrics in Creole, French and English. Right now the band is preparing their first official release for summer this year. Noukilla – a little bit of sunshine on stage.
